Sweet Spool Dollies

I received my spool dolly family in the post the other day and I am so thrilled with them! I can't wait to set up my sewing room and have my little family watch over me as I sew sew sew away.

I must say a great big giant THANKS to Erica Daley for creating my wonderful spool dolly family. It will be a lovely reminder of my family (mum, dad, bro and sis) as I move out of home all over again.

Oh, and that's me in pink and green to the left :)

Baby Change Mats!

I forgot to mention that I have listed some new items in my Jumpy Frog shop! These baby change mats came around as a suggestion from my sister-in-law. She wanted to give handy all in one baby change mats to her friends as gifts but could only find boring black or grey ones and often just a change mat only without any pockets for nappys/wipes.

So out of that was born the Jumpy Frog baby changes mats complete with pockets for diapers and baby wipes. Not only that, it is also lined with waterproof PVC for easy wiping down of any little messes!

That's my cutie pie nephew up there modelling for me!

Here are a few other designs I have in store:

And if you already have a change mat then maybe you'll like one of these handy diaper/baby wipe wallets. They'll fit a few diapers and your baby wipes container so you can pop it in any of your carry bags and never have to scrounge around you bag looking for your diapers and wipes - you'll be able to find your little wallet easily and be the envy of all your mummy friends!

New Projects & Jumpy Frog

Since returning back to Sydney I have been re-acquainted with my sewing machine!! While in London there were lots of things that I wanted to make but hand stitching was just way too slow so I ended up buying the odd thing now and then (when I couldn't resist or was a much needed necessity/gift!).

But now that I am back home in Sydney with all my appliances (yay cake mixer no more manual stirring and whipping for ages!) I can start on all my little projects. Plus since I am still a Lady of Leisure (read unemployed, looking for a job) I have had a little bit of time to do my little projects!

I've been a busy little bee and have had lots of fun sewing away! Here's some of my little goodies:

I gave my monkeys to my niece and nephew - it is so cute when I see them carrying them around!!

I made that heart bag for myself and then also made another one for my sister-in-law for Chrissie!

I've got loads of friends and relos who are having babies so I started making the diaper/baby wipe pouches for them.

And I keep spotting really cute fabrics that I'm not sure what to do with so I made little tissue holders just so I can use the fabric!!

I just finished off a little zippy bag to hold some more of my loose bits & pieces in my handbag and my sister requested a notebook cover that I just finished yesterday for her!

So you can see that I've been busy and having loads of fun at the same time!

In the end I decided to change my earring shop (previously ppaccessories.etsy.com) and instead open up a brand new shop called JUMPY FROG (http://jumpyfrog.etsy.com) combiningg my earrings and all other bits & bobs!

I've listed a few bits & pieces in there and will be adding more goodies soon - if you have some time please stop by!

I Lovem!

There have been a bunch of little bubbas getting born all around me recently, infact all around Sydney - so much so that the hospitals have even had to turn people away as the birthing suites were all occupied!!

As a result of so many babies coming into this world it has meant that I have spent a huge chunk of time searching on Etsy for little baby pressies. I came across some really cute little blankies - perfect security blankets complete with soft toy and all!! And an added bonus is that the creators of these cute blankies is a real sweetie as well!! Go check them out at http://lovems1.etsy.com [you can click on the photos below for more details of each item]

Cutie Pie Pink Kitty Radio - For Sale! [SOLD]

Edit 13/08/08 - This cutie pie pink kitty radio has found a new and loving home!! Thanks!

Ok well i've only had a handful of votes and of them 6 said go for it, 2 said iffy - but I was thinking last night - what have I got to lose really??

So here is the first of my Blog Sale Items - Pink Kitty Radio/Note Holder!

I bought this kitty in Oslo, Norway. It is actually a little radio disguised as a an uber cute pink pussy cat! I thought she was so cute. I didn't really have any use for her but somehow managed to convince myself (and hubby) that I would use here while in the shower! That lasted about 2 showers as I kept forgetting to turn her on. She then moved into my husbands office for a little bit - I thought he could use her while writing his notes...but a little pink pussy cat doesn't really sit well in a grown mans office....so poor old kitty spent the rest of her days as cute decoration on my bedroom windowsill.

Here are the deets on Cutie Pie Pink Kitty Radio:
  • Height - approx 4" toe to top of ears
  • Length - approx 4.5" from nose to bottom
  • Colour - pretty pink
  • Batteries - she needs 2 AA sized batteries (not included)
Other bits and pieces you might want to know about kitty:
  • She still works - I just tested her.
  • She is approx 2 years old and in great condition
  • Her pink eye is the on/off switch
  • The silver eye is her scan button to scan for radio stations
  • Her little silver mouth is the volume dial (and another on off switch)
  • The little black cord is like an antennae if needed (also hides away in belly if not required)
  • She has a little cut arch in her back where you can stick notes or photos (bonus!)
Price & Shipping (in USD - if you are UK just halve it)
Kitty Price = $8
Shipping = $3 (UK), $5 (Europe) or $6 (Everywhere Else)

Stay tuned, i'll be back soon...

Russian Inspiration

You may have seen this at my indiepublic blog (which i've now retired due to this one) but it is too cute not to share to everyone else in the blogging world (well i think so anyway!!)

When I make earrings I look at my beads and then look around my flat then look around outside for some inspiration.

One day I was looking up at my bookshelf and sitting there was my little russian matryoshka doll. I looked up at it, then looked down at my beads, then all of a sudden this teeny tiny little earring was born.

I kept one pair for my shop and then had to go and make another pair straight away for myself! They are so teeny and tiny that I couldn't help looking at myself in the mirror (ok i'm just a tad vain!) going 'awww so cute!' every couple of minutes. My husband rolled his eyes after about the 5th 'awww it's so cute' and just says 'yes dear' with that look on his face.

Here they are, and just below was my inspiration - u can just see the tiny baby to the very very left of the photo.
